From Stockton, California, Kara Uchizono joined Central West Ballet during its 2017-18 Season. She started as a CWB II member and later joined the main company, performing in René Daveluy's Dracula as well as in The Nutcracker, Nutcracker in Jazz and Creations repertory programs.

In 2023, Kara Uchizono performed the lead role of Tinker Bell in Peter Pan as well as the Waltz of the Flowers Queen in The Nutcracker, as well as in the Cantina Band Sugar Rums in Nutcracker in Jazz choreographed by Nicole Firpo Felver). Other notable roles she performed in The Nutcracker include the Harlequin and Jewel Dolls, as well as Lead Spanish. Kara has made her mark in Cinderella, Dracula and in René Daveluy and Jan Clark Fugit's Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
